SHE Tech – Investing in Our Future Leaders

At Rudolph & Hellmann, we firmly believe that the strength of our organisation lies in the capability, confidence and character of our people. When we talk about “home-grown timber,” we’re not referring to a slogan—it’s an ethos, a commitment, and a proven approach to developing the next generation of leaders from within our own ranks.

It is with real pride that we announce that Lorant Tecsy and Billy Gass have officially enrolled in the Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Technician Apprenticeship programme.

This marks an important step not just in their individual careers but in the continued evolution of our safety culture.

What is the SHE Technician Apprenticeship?

The SHE Technician Apprenticeship is a nationally recognised programme designed to develop capable, confident Health & Safety professionals who can support modern, high-performing organisations.

Over the duration of the programme, apprentices gain:

Technical knowledge of workplace health, safety, and environmental legislation

Including how to interpret and apply regulations in real operational settings.

Practical skills through hands-on assessments and real-world casework

Equipping them to identify hazards, assess risks, and influence safe ways of working.

Experience supporting incident investigations and improvement programmes

Building their ability to analyse root causes and contribute to smarter, safer processes.

Professional behaviours expected of credible safety leaders

From communication and leadership skills to ethical decision-making and stakeholder engagement.

On completion, they will be eligible for TechIOSH membership — a major step toward future chartered status.

This is much more than classroom learning. It’s structured, workplace-embedded development that transforms good people into confident health & safety professionals.

Developing Future Leaders, Not Just Filling Roles

Lorant and Billy’s enrolment reflects more than a training decision. It reflects a strategic commitment to:

  • Building internal capability rather than relying solely on recruitment
  • Creating long-term career pathways for motivated individuals
  • Strengthening our safety culture through visible investment in our people
  • Ensuring tomorrow’s leaders understand our business from the ground up

Both have already demonstrated strong work ethic, curiosity, and a real desire to positively influence workplace safety. The apprenticeship will now equip them with the structure, guidance, and technical proficiency to grow into the safety leaders our organisation will rely on in the years ahead.

A Clear Signal of Our Commitment

Health & Safety at Rudolph & Hellmann has always been about more than compliance. It’s about protecting people, enabling performance, and supporting a culture where everyone feels responsible for doing the right thing.

By investing in Lorant and Billy, we’re investing in:

  • a stronger workforce,
  • a safer workplace,
  • and a more resilient future.

Their development strengthens our entire organisation.

I’d like to personally congratulate both of them for taking this important step. We look forward to supporting their learning journey and seeing them grow into the next generation of HSE leaders at R&H.

This is home-grown talent in action — and the future looks bright.
